If you’ve ever thought about writing a novel, NaNoWriMo is a wonderful place to start a project and find encouragement and support. Many cities even host write-ins where you can meet up with others who are also participating in the event. NaNoWriMo 2018 was when I finished my first draft of Chameleon: An Asperger’s Memoir. I’m going at it again, this time with a fictional novel featuring a female autistic protagonist.
If you’ve never heard of National Novel Writing Month, the concept is simple: Write every single day through the month of November to end up with a completed manuscript, or a good start to one, at 50,000 words.
